ENGLISH QUARTERLY is published four times each year by CCTELA. A refereed journal that publishes articles by academics and practitioners, E.Q. is an important addition to professional libraries and a valuable resource for English language arts teachers k-post secondary.
Dr. Karen Magro of the University of Winnipeg is the current editor.
CCTELA NEWS UPDATE is published twice a year and is a voice for Canadian teachers K to post secondary. The Newsletter keeps the membership up to date with current issues and with the activities of the CCTELA Board of Directors and Executive.

Literacy: Development and Teaching Strategies

The reprint of the information from this pamphlet provides teachers with a sampling of before, during and after reading strategies that are appropriate for use in K-12 classrooms. Suggestions for authentic reading assessment practices are also included.

Linking Instruction and Assessment

This pamphlet has been created to assist teachers with strategies for linking instruction and assessment. It describes a variety of assessment strategies which allow students opportunities to demonstrate their learning in ways compatible with their learningstrengths and styles.
